DIY-DONE!

Cardbox
6-2011

So, one of the first things I wanted to do when I first started wedding planning was to make a cadbox. I got inspiration from a lot of Knotties, and in the end I chose one I haven't seen before.

Ceremony Aisle Vases
5-2011

I've always loved the idea of tall cylinders and vases filled with water and flowers. So, I did my research and came up with these! I can't wait to use them for my ceremony!!

All of the elements I got for these are from the Dollar Tree. I used 3 different types of flowers for the 10 vases I bought!

Table Number
5-2011

I knew I wanted a formal reception, but on a beer budget. Who says it can't be done? I found these also at the Dollar Tree. I bought 14 of them, and might be getting one or two more depending on my overall seating chart. So, I found these frames early in my planning and was very pleased with how they fit in with my decor and overall Victorian theme!

Bouquets
7-11-11

I knew I wanted something out of the box and modern with my bouquets. I never wanted real flowers and saw no point with paying hundreds of dollars that could cost a LOT less. So, I did some research and came up with the idea of making duck tape flowers! I wish I had taken photos of the process, but the end result is absolutely fabulous!

I used 10 different colors/patterns to make my 3 bouquets and literally took 30+ hours to do all of them. Its a labor of love, but I still can't get over how pretty they are!

My fiance thought the end bouquet needed something, so we went to Michael's and picked these. They make the bouquet look amazing!

Tree Guestbook
7-2011

I think this is the BEST idea for scrapbook I've ever seen! I wanted to be different, so Alec drew me an awesome tree and the leaves will be our guests' thumbprints!

My inspiration and close up of what the end product will look like... :)

And VOILA!! Isn't it pretty? I;m so proud that my fiance did this!!

Flower Girl Basket

7-7-2011
Picture
I made this from a basket I already had. I bought wire ribbon at the Dollar Store, made two bow ties on the ends, and used the rest to twist on the handle... I'll be replacing the silk flowers with real ones the day of :)

I SPY Reception Cards
7-16-11

I wanted something for the guests at our wedding to do during the cocktail hour. So I saw these a couple of times, looked around for fonts I liked and put them together.  I'll be printing them off my computer closer to the wedding date.

RIGHT: My final product! I couldn't be more happier with it!! :D

We're doing a sand ceremony for the wedding instead of a candle or handfasting. I'll be representing the orange sand and Alec will be the burgundy :)

Thank You Sign

7-20-11
We'll be using this TY sign after we're married to take a picture of us holding it and use it as a TY card for our guests.
UPDATE: NOT USING THIS SIGN. WILL DO SOMETHING DIFFERENT AS THE TIME APPROACHES.

Candy Buffet!

My inspiration. I picked it because its orange and while I'm going to have a rainbow of colors, I like the overall look of this.

A mock up of my display. I put scraps of paper  inside each container so I know which candy goes where and what to buy. I'm so happy with it!!
